The All New i-Gen i-20 launched by Hyundai



Hyundai launched the new i20 today. The new avatar is called the i-Gen i20 and this shall be available in 12 variants. The petrol variants range from Rs 473,400 to Rs 665,894, the diesel variants range from Rs 596,334 to Rs 744,013 and the automatic variant is priced at Rs 767,405 (all ex-showroom, New Delhi). The i-Gen i20 now comes with a more powerful and refined 1.2 Kappa petrol engine with Dual VTVT mechanism that makes 84bhp of power. The 1.4 U2 CRDi diesel comes with 6-speed manual transmission that delivers 90bhp power. A number of first- in-segment features are available in the i-Gen i20 like Rear Parking Camera with display in the cabin mirror, Electro Chromic Mirror which offers anti-glare vision during night time driving, Clean Air-Cluster ionizer for fresh air in the cabin, Auto Headlight Control Function, 6 Airbags, Rear Disc Brakes, Supervision Cluster and Rain Sensing Wipers. It also offers host of premium features like: Smart Key with Push Button Start, One Touch Triple Turn Signal, Leather Wrapped Steering Wheel and Gear Shift Knob, Driver Seat Arm Rest, Electric Adjustable Folding and Heated Outside Mirrors, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, 60:40 Split Seat with cushion pop-up for optimum passenger and luggage space utilization, premium 2-DIN CD/MP3 Audio System with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, USB, aux-in and Blue tooth connectivity along with Steering Mounted Audio and Bluetooth controls. Like all the other Hyundai cars in the Indian market, the new i-Gen i20 offers top priority to safety with features like: 6 Airbags, ABS, clutch lock system (to prevent accidental starts), smart pedal system (in the event of panic braking, the brake pedal overrides the accelerator), speed sensing auto door locking and impact sensing auto door unlocking (in the unfortunate event of a collision) and Reverse Parking Sensors.

New Fluidic Sonata Launched at 18 lakhs


 Hyundai announced the price of the all new Sonata today, the manual transmission is priced at Rs 18,52,979 and the automatic transmission at Rs 20,61,272 both prices are ex-showroom Delhi. The all new Sonata was unveiled at the 11th Auto Expo in January this year. “The all new Sonata powered by our GDi engine offers best-in-class features. Competitively priced the Sonata offers a stylish new choice to the premium customer,” Mr. B S Seo, Managing Director and CEO, HMIL said. Post the Sonata’s launch in January this year the company has received a large number of enquiries. Like HMIL’s recent cars, the Sonata too is crafted on the design philosophy of ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ where contrasting surfaces create a sense of constant motion. This sixth generation Sonata, which sports features like front and rear seat ventilation, front seat warmers, high intensity Xenon head lamps, cruise control, paddle shift, 10-way adjustable power seat with lumbar support and a 4-way power adjustable front co-driver seat. The new Sonata is high on safety and is equipped with 6 airbags, electronic stability program (ESP) with traction control system (TCS), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), rear view camera and smart key with push button start apart from a host of features that enhances the driving experience like the VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) cluster and a X-shaped centre fascia. The 2.4-litre GDi petrol engine is mated to 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
