2013 BMW X6 overview

BMW X6 created the crossover “coupe” segment, with its high-riding stance, less practical setup by way of its Quasimodo-inspired rear, and sporting demeanor. For 2013, BMW is further upgrading its niche-market machismo machine.
Differences for the 2013 model year include:
Revised foglight surrounds that are designed to emphasize the already prodigious width of the vehicle.

A “three-dimensional”-style grille that stretches out farther than the 2012 model’s.

Available adaptive LED headlights. High-intensity xenon units are standard.
Redesigned LED tail lights that provide a “harmonious glowing light mass.”
Redesigned 19-inch wheels for the BMW X6 xDrive50i.
More paint and leather color choices.
Available Nappa leather available in Ivory White.
Additionally, there’s a new M Performance Package available that boosts standard horsepower in the X6 xDrive35i from 300 to 315. Customers opting for the 4.4-liter BMW X6 xDrive50i can check a box for an upgraded M Performance Package that will bump their power from 400 horsepower to 440. The package also includes 20-inch wheels, black chrome exhaust tips, stainless steel pedals, an M footrest and door sills, a micro suede headliner, and optional Carbon Black paint.
The 2013 BMW X6 isn’t a huge update, but it’s enough to draw some new interest for BMW’s odd-duck crossover. Expect to see it roll into showrooms this spring.

Ford Fusion 2012 Review

Ford is launching the new avtaar of Fusion soon. Fusion 2012 offers three gasoline engines and two hybrid powerplants. In addition to the standard 2.5L Duratec® I-4 engine, there are two new available EcoBoost® engines – 1.6L and 2.0L – that offer a no-compromise combination of power and efficiency. In an effort to maximize efficiency while lowering carbon emissions, the conventional and plug-in hybrid electric powerplants each feature a gas engine and electric motor. The new suspension system delivers a smooth ride, while electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) provides a responsive and comfortable driving experience. And for peace of mind, the available Intelligent All-Wheel-Drive System gives you traction when and where you need it most.
(EPAS)
Electric power-assisted steering (EPAS) automatically adjusts to deliver precise feel and control at higher speeds, and the required assistance at slower speeds when needed. EPAS features pull-drift compensation and active nibble control. Pull-drift compensation technology detects road conditions – such as a crowned road surface or crosswinds – and adjusts the EPAS to compensate. The active nibble control feature uses the EPAS motor to reduce unwanted vibrations in the steering wheel. The result is a comfortable driving experience.
SmartGauge® with EcoGuide Cluster
SmartGauge® with EcoGuide Cluster-  This innovative EcoGuide gauge cluster on Fusion Hybrid provides real-time information to help you optimize efficiency. SmartGauge uses dual liquid crystal display (LCD) screens on either side of the center-mounted speedometer. Watch the display grow leaves as your short-term driving efficiency increases. As your long-term driving becomes more efficient, more vines and leaves are displayed. A tutorial built into the display lets you choose one of four data screens for the level of information you want — Inform, Enlighten, Engage or Empower — and explains your options within each. Steering wheel-mounted controls make it all easy. All levels can indicate instant fuel economy; fuel economy history; odometer; engine coolant temperature; plus trip data including fuel economy, time-elapsed fuel economy and miles to empty.
SYNC® with MyFord Touch®
Here Available SYNC® with MyFord Touch® puts you in control of vehicle functions while keeping your hands on the steering wheel and your eyes on the road.
You don’t have to know how to drive a manual transmission to enjoy the sporty feel of shifting gears. Using race-inspired technology, the available steering wheel-mounted paddles let you easily and quickly go from gear to gear without taking your hands off the wheel.

There is  lots of choices in variants

Standard and available engines include:
• Standard 2.5L Duratec® I-4 engine. Coupled with SelectShift Automatic® six-speed transmission with thumb switch on gear shift knob.
• Available new 1.6L EcoBoost* engine. Coupled with standard SelectShift Automatic® six-speed transmission or optional manual transmission.
• Available new 2.0L EcoBoost engine. Coupled with six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
• Available hybrid 2.0L I-4 Atkinson-cycle powertrain. Coupled with electronically controlled continuosly variable transmission (eCVT).
• Available plug-in hybrid electric 2.0L I-4 Atkinson-cycle engine. Coupled with electronically controlled continuosly variable transmission (eCVT) and high-voltage electric motor.

Gas and HEV available fall 2012. PHEV available early 2013.

HAYATE

Audi A3 is arriving in india soon.

Audi India has recorded tremendous sales increases over this year and they are not planning on slowing down. In order to catch up with Mercedes and BMW, Audi India will now add more products to their line-up including cheaper and smaller ones such as the A3. The A3 will be the company’s entry-level sedan and will cost roughly Rs 22 lakh. The overall trend in India seems to be going the diesel way, so it is no surprise that the A3 will sport a 2-litre 4 cylinder TDI engine but there will also be 1.8 litre and 2.0 litre petrol engines available. It is also likely to be mated with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DSG auto transmission. The car will come standard with Audi safety technology and features

Nevertheless, it would be exciting to see the Audi’s take on electric cars which seems to be a passion of car manufacturers of late. A sports car with an all-electric motor is not something we get to see very often where Tesla, who holds certain amount of expertise in the electric car manufacturing has delivered some results on this front. Anyhow, the upcoming product line-up shows the Audi’s growth plans for India which has delivered some remarkable performance in the current year close to 80% growth by year end.

Renault wants to move fast with Duster SUV

After an extensive effort from Renault India, the auto major is now all set to bring their two new cars, Renault Pulse hatchback and Renault Duster in front of the masses at the 2012 Indian Auto Expo. The auto giant has chosen the 6th January for the launch of Renault Pulse and simultaneously to unveil the Renault Duster SUV

Renault Duster is another car after Renault Pulse to see an increased amount of localisation. Locally produced at the Renault’s Oragadam plant, Renault Duster SUV is expected to be built on the phased out Renault Logan’s platform which explains its strong similarity with the outdated sedan. The Duster SUV will be offered in both petrol and diesel engine trims. Nevertheless, the auto giant is expected to use the 1.6 L 106 PS petrol engine while the 1.5 L K9K Nissan diesel engine will be offered in varied power outputs. The 91 PS and 108 PS peak power outputs are expected from the different engine tunes. Ford EcoSport will be the closest rival of the upcoming SUV with the speculated Renault Duster price in the range of Rs 7- Rs 10 lakhs, however, the launch is not expected until mid-2012 in the Indian car market.
