Yamaha R15 2.0 Limited Edition

The leading bike manufacturing company, Yamaha, displayed its two new editions of the Yamaha R15 at the recently concluded 2012 Auto Expo in New Delhi. Now these two models have been released for sale by the company. The stock of these two models is very limited and it has been reported that only about 500 units of each of them will be up for sale. The two editions can be booked at any of the Yamaha dealers as all of them are allowing the registrations for these versions of the R15 to be made at their showrooms. The Yamaha bikes have always been a craze among the youth because of their stylish and stunning looks but the Yamaha R15 goes a step further in terms of stunning and dynamic looks in the released limited edition version. These two limited edition models have been named as the Fiery Red Special Edition and the WGP 50th Anniversary Edition. The Fiery Red Special edition version is priced at Rs 1.10 lakhs whereas the cost for the WGP 50th Anniversary Edition has been fixed at Rs. 1.11 lakhs (ex-showroom,Delhi).

Honda Dio 2012 Facelift


The scooter Dio gets a thorough revision, with a bigger and more powerful 109-cc motor, which has been borrowed from the new Activa, and produces 8.11PS of power @ 7,500rpm and 8.66Nm of torque @ 5,500rpm. Honda claims that this will improve fuel efficiency by 15 per cent, the fiber bodied scooter will now return 55 kpl.

The re-styled 2012 Dio looks chunkier and more sporty with the new aerodynamic design. This is the first gearless scooter in India to sports tubeless tyres and in combination of Honda's 'Combi Brake System' which would improves stability and braking. Other new features include a maintenance-free battery, viscous air filter, 3D emblem and enhanced luggage space under the seat. All this for an attractive price of Rs. 42,362 ex-showroom New Delhi. The new Dio will be available at Honda showrooms from the last week of this month and will be offered in five new colours - Sports Red, Matt Axis Grey Metallic, Pearl Sunbeam White, Candy Palm Green and Leblon Violet Metallic.

Speaking about the launch N.K. Rattan, Vice President – Sales, Marketing & Corporate Affairs, HMSI said, “The increased convenience and comfortable riding position of New Dio will appeal to both style conscious young males and females.”

Pulsar 200 NS in India



A hot-shot news came out from the satchel of Indian automotive industry, Bajaj Auto India. The homegrown cult bike manufacturer has disclosed Next Generation Pulsar, christened as Pulsar 200 NS in India. The exact launch date of the bike is yet behind the curtains but it is expected that the domestic auto giant is soon going to introduce this powerful rocking road star in country.  Indian streets have already witnessed the last four generation of Pulsar's range of bikes, with Pulsar 200 NS being the fifth generation  Pulsar showstopper

The new generation Bajaj Pulsar will get an SOHC 4 valve liquid cooled engine which is to link with six speed manual transmission gearbox empowering the new Pulsar to cruise, accelerate, and climb steep inclines effortlessely. Unlike its previous generation twin spark, the 200 cc triple spark engine of the upcoming Pulsar 200 NS produces a peak output power of 23.52 PS at 9500 RPM and 18.3 Nm of top torque at 8000 RPM. The road star will offer an impressive fuel economy of 58 kmpl at a consistent speed of 55 kmph. The next generation Pulsar will accelerate to 60 kmph from 0 in just 3.6 seconds and further sprints to 100 kmph in just 9.8 seconds. The bike stands at a whooping 1 lakh (approx.), though it seems worth to spend it on this one!
The upcoming Pulsar range of bikes resembles KTM Duke 200 style, the KTM inspired front flashy headlights. The next generation speed star has newly designed alloy wheels which further provide a sporty looks to the bike. The kerb weight of 145 kgs, next generation Pulsar has a fuel tank capacity of 12 Litre. The extravagant two wheeler will come adorn with a Nitrox mono-shock suspension at rear and telescopic fork in front to provide overall driveability experience. The 167 mm ground clearance and disc brakes at both front and rear ends makes it one of the best in class.

All new Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire CS launched

Maruti Swift Dzire has been launched today in India by the company's Managing Director and CEO, Mr. Shinzo Nakanishi at the Brand Centre, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, 1 Nelson Mandela Marg, Vasant Kunj. Maruti's Swift Dzire sedan climbed the ladder of success as soon as it was launched in the Indian car market in 2008. Now India’s largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki is here to rekindle the sedan segment with its brand new Maruti Swift Dzire compact sedan. Several things have been revived in this sedan, to make it much efficient and more impressive. The petrol variant of the new Swift Dzire promises to deliver 19.1 km per litre of fuel efficiency, whereas the diesel variant has improved fuel economy of a whopping 23.4 km per litre, which is certainly amazing for a sedan.
The company has worked hard on its looks and managed to bring the new Maruti Swift Dzire length within 4 meters. What’s more interesting is that the new sedan is powered by the VVT technology, which brings in superior engine efficiency, lower carbon emissions and optimized fuel consumption. The K12M VVT petrol engine fitted into the new Swift Dzire is responsive and active and has the ability to deliver peak power of 87 PS at 6000 rpm along with 114 Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm. This high power and torque helps the sedan to accelerate, cruise and also climb steep plains with ease.
On the other hand, the new Swift Dzire is also being offered with a powerful diesel engine. The diesel variant of this new sedan is powered with D13 A 1.3 litre of intercooler turbo charger DDiS diesel engine that generates 75 PS of power at 4000 rpm together with 190 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm. Talking about the interiors of the car, the new Maruti Swift Dzire has given a face-lift to every bit of it. The sedan now has multi-layered dashboard with a waterfall like console and the power steering has audio controls mounted on it. The beige and black colored theme along with silver accents and chrome inserts further add more charm to the interiors of the car. The upholstery has been done elegantly with high quality fabric and the USB with iPod connectivity with 6 speakers enhances the sound quality of the sound system.

The other highlights of the new Maruti Swift Dzire comprise of improved AC vents, parking brake lever, front-rear seats and horn pad. The new Maruti Swift Dzire is offered in new color range too, which includes Glistening Grey, Pacific Blue, Arctic White, Midnight Black, Silky Silver and many more
